Compare Cloud Costs

Bring Your Architecture

Feature PreviewComing Soon

We are building a way to upload your actual infrastructure definition — starting with Terraform and OpenTofu, whose provider-agnostic format is the natural fit for a cross-cloud comparison, with CloudFormation planned as a second phase — and see the same architecture priced across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Oracle Cloud, and Alibaba, with no persistent data retention. Price Your Actual Infrastructure Across Every Provider

We are building a parsing engine to read your Terraform or OpenTofu definitions directly — compute, storage, database, and networking resources — and evaluate equivalent configurations across alternative cloud providers, without inferring specs backward from a dollar total. Terraform/OpenTofu is the priority format because it's written provider-agnostically, so one file can already describe resources across clouds; CloudFormation, being AWS-only by design, is planned as a follow-on. Fixed elements (instance vCPU/RAM, engine type) translate directly; variable elements (storage capacity, autoscaling ranges) are flagged rather than force-matched.

How It Works

Our architecture cross-referencing workflow will operate in three streamlined steps, converting an infrastructure definition into an actionable comparison table.

01.

Upload Architecture

Upload your Terraform plan or state, or an OpenTofu configuration. The parser reads the resource definitions directly rather than inferring them from a bill. CloudFormation is planned for a later phase.

Priority: Terraform, OpenTofu · Later: CloudFormation
02.

Cross-Match SKUs

Our engine normalizes resource specifications (vCPUs, RAM, IOPS, DB engines) and evaluates equivalent configurations across all supported alternative cloud providers.

03.

Export & Compare

Review a detailed resource-by-resource comparison matrix displaying potential monthly savings, alternative instance specs, and download custom CSV reports for your team.

Capabilities

Designed for platform and infrastructure teams seeking a resource-accurate, multi-cloud cost benchmark straight from the source of truth — the infrastructure definition itself.

Ephemeral Document Processing

Zero raw architecture-file retention. Definitions are parsed in volatile memory and purged immediately after generating your comparative analysis report.

Resource-Level Precision

Reads actual resource definitions — compute, storage, databases, networking — rather than inferring specs backward from a total dollar figure.

Preview Access

Access details haven’t been finalized. The plan is free access during preview, consistent with Bring Your Bill and Bring Your Estimate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions regarding security, architecture-file handling, and directional cross-cloud pricing benchmarks during the preview release.

No. Compare Cloud Costs will follow the same strict zero-persistence policy used by Bring Your Bill and Bring Your Estimate. Architecture files are parsed ephemerally in volatile memory to extract resource specs and are destroyed immediately upon calculation.
Disclaimer: Bring Your Architecture is a planned feature and is not yet available. Once live, estimates will be directional, drawn from public pricing APIs and provider pricing pages. Uploaded architecture files will be processed ephemerally, without persistent storage. Compare Cloud Costs makes no warranties on billing accuracy or provider-specific discounts.
